Cancellation & Refund Policy
The rule of thumb. Before it prints, you can cancel and get your money back. Once paper and toner have been used, it cannot be un-printed — but if the printing went wrong, you are refunded or reprinted.
1. Cancelling before printing
Before you pay, there is nothing to cancel: close the page or the payment window and the order simply stays unpaid. It is never sent to print and costs nothing.
After paying, before it prints, there is no cancel button on the order page — a paid order usually goes to the shop's printer within moments. To stop it, ask the shop at the counter straight away: the shop can decline the order from its dashboard, and declining a paid order refunds the full amount to you automatically. If you cannot reach the shop, contact PrintOk support (see Contact) with your order reference. If the order had not printed, the full amount is refunded.
2. Once printing has started
Printing consumes paper and toner that cannot be recovered, so an order that has printed correctly, to the settings you chose, is not refundable simply because you changed your mind.
3. When you are refunded anyway
A full refund is due where:
- you paid but the job never printed;
- the shop refused, cancelled or could not fulfil the job;
- the printout does not match the settings you paid for — printed in black and white when you paid for colour, single sided when you paid for double, wrong page range, wrong paper size, wrong number of copies;
- the printout is unusable through a fault at the shop — blank or streaked pages, jammed or damaged paper, toner failure;
- you were charged twice for the same job;
- you were charged an amount other than the total shown before you paid.
A partial refund applies where only some of the order was affected — for example, three of ten copies unusable means those three are refunded.
At the shop's discretion, a reprint may be offered instead of a refund. You are not obliged to accept it.
4. When a refund is not due
- The job printed correctly and you changed your mind.
- The document itself was wrong — wrong file, wrong version, a typo, formatting that came out as the file specified. The preview shows the pages before you pay, so check it.
- You chose the wrong settings and the job printed as chosen.
- You did not collect the printout.
5. How to ask
Speak to the shop first. They have the printout and can usually resolve it on the spot with a reprint or a cash refund.
If that does not resolve it, contact us within 7 days of the order with your token number and a short description of the problem, through the contact form. A photo of the printout helps.
6. How long it takes
- We acknowledge a refund request within 48 hours.
- We decide within 7 working days, after checking with the shop.
- An approved refund is initiated through Razorpay within 2 working days of the decision.
- The money reaches you in 5–7 working days from then, depending on your bank or UPI provider. That leg is outside our control.
Refunds go back to the original payment method. We cannot redirect a refund to a different account, card or UPI ID.
7. Cash payments
Cash paid at the counter is settled by the shop directly. Ask the shop for a cash refund — we never received that money and cannot return it. We will still help mediate if the shop does not resolve it.
8. Shop subscription plans
Monthly plan fees are charged in advance and are not refundable for a partial month. Cancel at any time by moving to the Free plan from your dashboard: the paid plan stays active until the end of the period already paid for, is not renewed, and the shop then moves to Free. We have no lock-in and no cancellation fee.
Switching to a different paid plan starts the new plan as soon as its first payment goes through, and ends the old plan at that moment so you are never billed for two plans at once. The unused part of the old plan's month is not refunded.
If we ever suspend or remove a shop for a reason that is not its fault, the unused part of its plan fee is refunded pro rata.
