Terms & Conditions
In plain terms. PrintOk connects you to a print shop; the shop does the printing and sets its own prices. PrintOk adds no fee to your bill — the shop pays us a platform fee out of the price you pay. Your document is deleted once the job is done.
1. Who you are contracting with
PrintOk is operated by Mohd Ayan Nasruddin Ansari, an individual trading as BitWise, based in Chembur, Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. Customer care: use the contact form, which reaches us directly. Email: ayan48311@gmail.com.
These terms are an electronic record under the Information Technology Act, 2000, and need no physical signature. By using PrintOk you agree to them. If you do not, do not use the service.
2. What PrintOk is — and is not
PrintOk is a technology platform and intermediary. We list independent print shops, take print jobs and payments on their behalf, and pass the job to the shop's own printer.
We do not print anything. The printing is performed by the shop you chose, on its own equipment, using its own paper and consumables. The contract for the printing itself is between you and that shop. We are not a party to it and we do not control the quality, timing or outcome of the printing.
3. If you are a customer printing a document
3.1 What you may print
You confirm that the document you upload:
- is yours, or you have the right to print it;
- does not infringe anyone's copyright, trade mark or other intellectual property — printing a book, exam paper or licensed material you do not have rights to is your responsibility, not the shop's and not ours;
- is not obscene, defamatory, or otherwise unlawful under Indian law, including material prohibited by the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made under it;
- is not counterfeit currency, a forged document, a forged identity or academic credential, or anything intended to deceive;
- does not contain malware.
A shop may refuse any job at its discretion, and we may remove a job and suspend access where we reasonably believe this clause has been broken.
3.2 Price and payment
- The shop sets its own rates per page, by colour, single or double sided, and paper size. The total is calculated from the shop's current rate card and shown to you in full before you pay. There are no fees added at the counter.
- You pay the shop's price and nothing more. PrintOk adds no fee to your bill. PrintOk's platform fee is paid by the shop, out of the amount you pay.
- The order page names the shop you are ordering from — the shop that will print and hand over your order — before you pay, and again on your confirmation. Online payments are collected by PrintOk on that shop's behalf through Razorpay.
- The page count is verified on our servers from the document itself, so you are charged for the pages actually in the file.
- You may pay online by UPI, card, net banking or wallet through Razorpay, or in cash at the counter where the shop offers it.
- Online payments below ₹1 cannot be processed by the gateway; pay at the counter instead.
- A job is only sent to the printer once payment is confirmed, or the shop approves it.
3.3 Collecting your printout
You will be given a token number. Show it at the shop counter to collect. Collect on the same day unless the shop agrees otherwise — an uncollected printout may be disposed of, and is not refundable once printed.
3.4 Your document
Your file is deleted from our servers automatically once the job is finished. See the Privacy Policy.
4. If you run a print shop
4.1 Your obligations
- You are responsible for your own business licences, GST registration and tax filings.
- You set and maintain your own rate card, and honour the price a customer was shown.
- You keep the print agent connected and your printer in working order. Jobs queue while it is offline; customers can see that state.
- You handle customers' documents confidentially, print them only for the job they were sent for, and do not retain, copy or share them.
- You keep your account credentials secure. Anything done with your session is your responsibility.
- You give the payout details that are yours, and keep them current.
4.2 Plans and platform fees
Every paid order carries a PrintOk platform fee, charged as a percentage of the order value and set by your plan. It is ours, and it is separate from the payment gateway's charge described below:
| Plan | Monthly | PrintOk platform fee | Orders / month | Printers | Staff |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | Free | 2.0% | 100 | 1 | 1 |
| Starter | ₹149 | 1.0% | 1,000 | 2 | 3 |
| Business | ₹349 | 0.5% | 4,000 | 5 | 8 |
| Pro | ₹699 | 0% | 10,000 | 10 | 15 |
Payment gateway charges are separate and are deducted before settlement. They are set by Razorpay, not by us, and depend on how the customer paid; the deduction is the charge Razorpay actually applies to that payment. At Razorpay's standard rate of 2.36% of the order value (2% plus GST), a ₹100 order on the Business plan returns ₹97.14: ₹100 less the ₹0.50 platform fee and the ₹2.36 gateway charge. On the Free plan the same order returns ₹95.64, because the platform fee is ₹2.00 rather than ₹0.50. Note that on Pro, where the PrintOk platform fee is nil, Razorpay's charge still applies — a 0% platform fee does not mean nothing is deducted. The figure shown in your dashboard payout summary is the figure you are paid.
We may change plan pricing or fees on 30 days' notice by email. Orders already placed keep the fee that applied when they were placed.
4.3 How you are paid
- Today, online payments are received into PrintOk's Razorpay account on your behalf and paid out to you separately, less the platform fee and the gateway charge. Self-service withdrawal is not available yet and the dashboard says so rather than pretending otherwise.
- Where direct settlement is enabled (Razorpay Route) and Razorpay has activated your linked account, your share of each online payment — the order total less the platform fee and the gateway charge on that payment — is transferred to your linked account when the payment is captured. It is held until the job has printed, then released for Razorpay to settle to your bank on its settlement cycle. If the order is declined or refunded before that, the transfer is reversed and the customer refunded. Razorpay's fee for the transfer itself is paid by PrintOk, not deducted from your share.
- Cash orders. A customer who pays cash pays you directly, so no gateway charge applies. The PrintOk platform fee at your plan's rate does apply to cash orders: it is deducted from the online payments PrintOk pays out to you, and where those are not enough to cover it, the balance is owed to PrintOk. It is never added to the customer's bill.
- Direct settlement requires you to complete Razorpay's KYC. Until Razorpay marks your account active, nothing can be transferred to it.
4.4 Suspension and removal
We may suspend or remove a shop that breaks these terms, repeatedly fails to fulfil jobs, or where we are legally required to. A shop with paid orders in its history is archived rather than deleted, so payment records remain auditable. You may close your account at any time; outstanding settlements will still be paid.
5. Cancellations and refunds
Set out in full in the Cancellation & Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms.
6. Availability
We give no uptime guarantee. The service may be unavailable for maintenance, or because of a failure at a provider we depend on. We are not liable for printing that did not happen because a shop's printer, PC or internet connection was down.
7. Liability
Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 are unaffected.
Subject to that:
- We are not liable for the printing itself — its quality, accuracy, timing, or a shop's refusal to print. That is between you and the shop.
- We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, business or data.
- Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the order the claim relates to, or, for a shop, the service fees you paid us in the three months before the claim.
8. Intellectual property
PrintOk's name, design, software and content are ours. You keep all rights in the documents you upload; we claim no ownership of them and use them only to provide the service.
9. Grievances
As required by the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020 and the Information Technology Act, 2000, complaints go to the Grievance Officer named in our Privacy Policy. We acknowledge within 48 hours and resolve within one month.
You may also use the National Consumer Helpline (1915) or the e-Daakhil portal at edaakhil.nic.in.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Mumbai, Maharashtra have exclusive jurisdiction, without prejudice to any right a consumer has to bring proceedings where they live, under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
11. Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top changes, and for a significant change we will tell shop owners by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use PrintOk after that means you accept the change.
